Upon school entry, students with a primary home language other than English take the Arizona English Language Learner Assessment (AZELLA) to determine their English Language proficiency and classify students as English Language Learners (ELL). AZELLA results include a composite proficiency level score, which is comprised of the following subtest scores: Listening and Speaking, Reading, Writing, and Grammar. Students enrolled in our program are in the process of transitioning into a new home life and as a result the length of stay of our students averages 16 days.  In order to enhance our high achievement success, our class sizes are no more than 20 days.  As a result, our staff have achieved incredible success of ensuring that language acquisition is obtained at a speedy rate.
